Sondu Schedule compared with Treatwell

With Treatwell you are buying the introduction, not the diary.

The best alternative to Treatwell depends on whether you need the marketplace to find you clients. In the UK and Ireland Treatwell brings real consumer discovery, paid for with commission on those bookings.

Sondu Schedule is a flat fee from €29 a month, with no commission and a booking page on your own domain, so the traffic you earn stays yours.

Every figure below is yours to change. If the answer comes out in Treatwell’s favour, the page says so.

Be honest. If you are brand new with no client base, this is near zero and the marketplace is doing real work. If you are established and people search your name then book through the app, it is high.

Commission is only expensive when it is charged for people who were coming to you anyway. So this asks the awkward question as well as the easy ones. Independent guides quote marketplace commission anywhere from 20% to 35%. Where they beat us

Buy Treatwell if this is you.

Treatwell has real reach in the UK and Ireland, and if the introduction is genuinely new business then the commission bought you something. The dial on the calculator above exists to ask the uncomfortable question: how many of them would have found you anyway.

The honest answers.

Two things, plus a processing fee. A monthly software subscription, and a commission on the first booking of a client introduced by the Treatwell marketplace, widely reported at 35% and quoted by independent guides in a range from 20% to 35%. On top of that there is a fee on online prepayments, reported at around 2% to 2.5%. Rates and VAT treatment vary by country and by agreement, so confirm the figures in your own account rather than trusting any comparison page, including this one.

Reported as no. The commission is described as applying to the first booking of a client the marketplace introduced, with 0% on that client's repeat bookings. That is a fairer structure than charging forever, and we will say so. It is also why the calculator above asks you how many of those introductions were people who would have found you anyway, because that is where the money quietly goes.

The UK and Ireland, by some distance. Treatwell grew out of the UK market and consumer awareness there is high enough that people open the app with no particular salon in mind. It also operates across roughly fifteen European countries including the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Belgium, France, Germany, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland, Greece and Lithuania, but the strength of the brand is not the same everywhere. If you trade in Spain, ask yourself honestly how many clients arrived because of the app rather than because of you.

No, deliberately. A marketplace brings you strangers, keeps a relationship with them, and lists your competitors on the same screen. Sondu gives you a booking page on your own domain instead, so the traffic you earn stays yours. If you need discovery, a marketplace is a real advantage we do not offer.

Schedule is €29, €65 or €119 a month plus IVA, flat. No commission on any booking, on new clients or regulars. No charge per staff member. Thirty days free with no card. If you also want every customer message in one inbox and your rooms or chairs let out, Connect, Schedule Team and Reserve together are €129 a month as SONDU One, against €159 bought one at a time, with guided setup and migration included.

Yes, and you can take them any time without asking us. Your client list is exportable from inside the product, your data is hosted in the EU in Ireland, and it is never shared with another business or used to advertise a competitor to your clients. We would rather you could leave easily and chose not to.
